Leon – Natalie played Mathilda.

“Mathilda: Is life always this hard, or is it just when you’re a kid?
Léon: Always like this.”

“Mathilda: Leon, what exactly do you do for a living?
Léon: [Leon] Cleaner.
Mathilda: You mean you’re a hit man?
Léon: [reluctantly] Yeah.
Mathilda: Cool.”

“Mathilda: Do you “clean” anyone?
Léon: No women, no kids, that’s the rules.
Mathilda: How much would it cost to hire someone to get those dirtbags who killed my brother?
Léon: Five grand a head.
Mathilda: Wow. How about this: I work for you; in exchange, you teach me how to clean. Hmmm? What do you think? I’ll clean your place, I’ll do the shopping, I’ll even wash your clothes. Is it a deal?”

“Mathilda: I’ve decided what to do with my life. I wanna be a cleaner.
Léon: You wanna be a cleaner?
[passes her a gun and bullets]
Léon: Here, take it. It’s a goodbye gift. Go clean. But not with me. I work alone, understand? Alone.
Mathilda: Bonnie and Clyde didn’t work alone. Thelma and Louise didn’t work alone. And they were the best.”

“Léon: And stop saying “okay” all the time! Okay?
Mathilda: Okay.
Léon: Good.”

“Mathilda: I am writing here the name of a girl in the class who makes me sick. If things get hot, she’ll take the heat!”

“Mathilda: Can we try with real bullets now?”

“Mathilda: Leon, I think I’m falling in love with you. It’s the first time for me, you know?
Léon: How do you know it’s love if you’ve never been in love before?
Mathilda: ‘Cause I feel it.
Léon: Where?
Mathilda: In my stomach. It’s all warm. I always had a knot there and now, . . . it’s gone.
Léon: Mathilda, I’m glad you don’t have a stomach ache any more. I don’t think it means anything.”

[To receptionist after being asked about her father (Leon)]
“Mathilda: He’s not my father. He’s my lover.”

“Mathilda: I don’t give a shit about sleeping, Leon. I want love, or death. That’s it.”

“Mathilda: There’s no doorbell!
Léon: So knock on the door.”

“Mathilda: I am already grown up, I just get older.”

“Mathilda: You killed my brother. Stansfield: I’m sorry. And you want to join him?
Mathilda: No.
Stansfield: It’s always the same thing. It’s when you start to become really afraid of death that you learn to appreciate life. Do you like life, sweetheart?
Mathilda: Yes.
Stansfield: That’s good, because I take no pleasure in taking life if it’s from a person who doesn’t care about it.”

“Mathilda: How are we getting out of here now?
Léon: Leave it to me. We’re checking out.”

“Mathilda: I don’t wanna lose you, Leon!”
Léon: You’re not going to lose me. You’ve given me a taste for life. I wanna be happy. Sleep in a bed, have roots. And you’ll never be alone again, Mathilda. Please, go now, baby, go. Calm down, go now, go.”

“Orphanage Headmistress: Now tell me what happened to you.
Mathilda: OK. My family they got shot down by D.E.A. officers because of a drug problem. I left with the greatest guy on earth. He was a hitman, the best in town, but he died this morning. And if you don’t help me, I’ll be dead by tonight.”

Beautiful Girls – Natalie played Marty.

“Marty: I might just grow to be five-ten. I’ll be hot.”

“Marty: What we’ve been doing lately is smoking massive amounts of drugs, binging on Entemmann’s and listening to old Pink Floyd CD’s.”

“Marty: I like to mash snow. It gives me a tremendous feeling of self satisfaction.”

“Marty: If I’m not mistaken, you’ve come back here to the house of loneliness and tears, to Daddy Downer and Brother Bummer, to come to some sort of decision about life, a life decision if you will.”

“Willie Conway: How old are you?
Marty: Thirteen. But I have an old soul.”

“Marty: It’s a tragedy of Elizabethan proportions.”

“Marty: Alas, poor Romeo, we can’t do diddly.”

“Willie Conway: [from a window] Hey.
Marty: Romeo and Juliet, the dyslexic version.”

“Marty: Two words not in her vocabulary: lunch money.”

“Paul: So you’re the little neighborhood Lolita.
Marty: So you’re the alcoholic high school buddy shit for brains.”

“Laura: Please, no humiliating schemes.”

“Laura: [singing] I’m through with love, I’ll never fall again.

“Anakin: Are you an angel?
Queen Amidala: What?
Anakin: An angel. I’ve heard the deep space pilots talk about them. They live on the moons of Iego, I think. They’re the most beautiful creatures in the universe.
Queen Amidala: You’re a funny little boy. How do you know so much?
Anakin: I listen to all the traders and star pilots who come through here. I’m a pilot, you know, and someday I’m going to fly away from this place.”

“Queen Amidala: You’re a slave?
Anakin: I’m a person and my name is Anakin.”

“Queen Amidala: Our people are dying, Senator. We must do something quickly to stop the Federation.
Senator Palpatine: To be realistic, your Majesty. I think we are going to have to accept Federation control for the time being.
Queen Amidala: That is something I cannot do.”

“Queen Amidala: I was not elected to watch my people suffer and die while you discuss this invasion in a committee!”

Anywhere But Here – Natalie played Anne.

“Anne: “That summer I turned seventeen…and started planning my escape.”

Where The Heart Is – Natalie played Novalee.

“Mama Lil: You got a man?
Novalee Nation: No.
Mama Lil: Well, where is the prick who put you in this mess?
Novalee Nation: California.
Mama Lil: That figures. All the pricks move to California. They should just call it Prickafornia.”

“Novalee Nation: Oh, I got money. The president of Wal-Mart gave me five hundred dollars.
Mama Lil: Why, he’s not the father of the baby, is he?
Novalee Nation: No.
Mama Lil: Ah, shit.”

“Novalee Nation: I lied because I thought you deserved something better.
Forney Hull: Something better than you? Novalee, nothing could be better than you.”

“Novalee Nation: You tell them that our lives can change with every breath we take… and to hold on like hell to what they’ve got: each other, and a mother who would die for them and almost did… You tell them we’ve all got bad in us, but we’ve got goodness too. And the only thing worth living for is the good. And that’s why we’ve got to make sure we pass it on.”

“Lexie Coop: I think I might be pregnant. You remember that guy I told you about last month?
Novalee Nation: The good-lookin’ mechanic?
Lexie Coop: I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I didn’t even want to be with him.
Novalee Nation: Didn’t he use anything?
Lexie Coop: Just me.”

“Novalee Nation: I ain’t never lived in a house that didn’t have wheels on it.”

“Thelma ‘Sister’ Husband: You used to call me Telma because you couldn’t say Thelma
[Novalee just looks at her]
Thelma ‘Sister’ Husband: You can say Thelma can’t you?
Novalee Nation [softly]: Thelma”

“Novalee Nation: Americus what are you doing?
Americus: Eatin’ dough in my nose.”

Star Wars: Episode II: Attack of the Clones – Natalie played Padme.

“Padme: Ani? My goodness, you’ve grown!
Anakin: So have you, grown more beautiful… for a senator, I mean
. Padme: Ani, you’ll always be that little boy I knew on Tatooine.”

“Padme: Please don’t look at me like that.
Anakin: Why not?
Padme: Because it makes me feel uncomfortable.
Anakin: Sorry my lady.”

“Padme: All mentors have a way of seeing more of our faults than we would like. It’s the only way we grow. ”

“Padme: It must be difficult having sworn your life to the Jedi… not being able to visit the places you like… or do the things you like.
Anakin: Or be with the people I love.
Padme: Are you allowed to love? I thought that was forbidden for a Jedi.”

“Padme: We used to come here for school retreat. We would swim to that island every day. I love the water. We used to lie out on the sand and let the sun dry us and try to guess the names of the birds singing.
Anakin: I don’t like sand. It’s coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere. Not like here. Here everything is soft and smooth.”

“Anakin: When I got to them we got into aggressive negotiations.
Padme: Aggressive negotiations? What’s that?
Anakin: Ah well it’s negotiations with a lightsaber.”

“Padme: We live in a real world, Annie. Come back to it.”

“Padme: We’d be living a lie. One we couldn’t keep even if we wanted to. I couldn’t do that. Could you Anakin ?Could you live like that ?”

“Padme: To be angry is to be human.
Anakin: I’m a Jedi. I can be better than this.”

“Padme: Sometimes there are things no one can fix.”

“Padme: You’re not all-powerful, Ani.
Anakin: Well, I should be!”

[Anakin and Padme are about to be carted into the arena.]
Anakin: Don’t be afraid.
Padme: I’m not afraid to die. I’ve been dying a little bit each day since you came back into my life.
Anakin: What are you talking about?
Padme: I love you.
Anakin: You love me? I thought we had decided not to fall in love. That we’d be forced to love a lie and that it would destroy our lives.
Padme: I think our lives are about to be destroyed anyway. I truly… deeply… love you and before we die I want you to know. ”

“Anakin: You call this a diplomatic Solution?
Padme: No, I call it an aggressive negotiation. “
