In case you missed the first three…

January
February
March

This month will be most remembered for something that I’ll get to later but, even though I didn’t notice at the time, it should also be known for lists. There was *deep breath*…25th on the FHM list, 1st on the Most Beautiful Faces list, named the mosteco-friendly star and 10th Lesbian Women’s top sci-fi babes list.

Yowza. Now for my favourites…

Forbes Star Currency

Forbes have put together another list (they love lists even more than I do) and this time they’ve polled industry people to rate the bankability of 1400 actors. The specific factors considered can be seen after the click but cutting to the chase, Will Smith is comfortably atop the list and Natalie came in at #84 with a score of 7.27

You can’t view the full list but you can search for actors to see their position and score. I tried a number of other young actresses to compare and found that Lohan, Ellen Page, Amy Adams, Kirsten Dunst, Emily Blunt and Rachel McAdams are all quite a bit further down the list. Anne Hathaway has the exact same score. Scarlett is at #78 and Keira Knightley is way up the list at #42.

Anyone else I should be checking? You can do your own searches here.

Some Cloud Atlas links

On the basis of the poll we conducted, most of you are very keen on the Cloud Atlas rumour having some truth to it. I’ve poked around a bit but haven’t been able to find anything that backs up the rumour or contradicts it. We’ll just have to wait and see.

In the mean time, here are two links that talk a bit about the rumour.
411mania…

I am a big fan of Tom Tykwer’s work, from Run Lola Run to his segment on Paris, je T’aime. I am skeptical of The International, but hopefully it rises above a standard bank thriller. This news however, is very intriguing. Tykwer’s style, combined with the Wachowski’s style, could be groundbreaking, and I mean that seriously. Both are known for memorable visuals, so imagine what the talents would conjure together! And I’m all for Natalie Portman as the lead.

The other link is a bit more skeptical.

Dazza’s favourite and worst films of 2008

  • Post author:

I have a soft spot for lists and an even softer spot for film so even though Natalie doesn’t get a mention (The Other Boleyn Girl was decent but not really near a favourite, nor was it close to being amongst the dreck I saw in the past year) I’m gonna post my 2008 films lists here. If you have no interest, move along. If you do, click on.
