You may have noticed that the last comic was the 50th that Matt and I have done together. I thought it would be nice to look back at the output and to pick my favourites. I asked Matt to do the same and so we have this update for you.

In the comments section you can let me know which ones you liked. I’m going to put 10-12 up for a poll next week so I need to try and gauge which strips are the most popular.

Here are my 10 favourites, in the order they appeared.

#11 – Puff Puff Die – You probably know that a pet annoyance of mine are fans that think Natalie is perfect but when faced with an imperfection that they disagree with, they totally lose their shit. Think we nailed this and I remember being really proud of it at the time. (more…)

New Poll + Premiere Look Results

Prior to TIFF, Love and Other Impossible Pursuits was a bit of an unknown quantity. We did a poll in August about anticipation levels for the film and the winning option was “I’m going to need to see reviews or a trailer first”. Then when we asked for predictions as to how the film would be received at TIFF, almost half of you thought it would get “more good than bad” reviews, which is probably how it turned out.

Garcy, The Hollywood Reporter, LA Times and Variety were all very positive. That’s not to say it was all positive as Berardinelli and Hitflix would attest.

Now that we know a lot more about the film, I thought we could do another barometer on the expectation levels.

As for the last poll results, you can view them after the jump. Most of you loved her TIFF premiere appearance. Personally, I was a bit mixed on it at first but found it all looked so much better in videos of the event. Wasn’t quite as overpowering as it looked in pics. (more…)

First up, Natalie doesn’t know what she’s going to be doing in 10 years. The clip ends with a much more interesting question, that isn’t answered. Grrr. Can someone who saw the whole press conference tell me what was said in the comments section?
