Almost three months ago it was announced that the Deauville Film Festival would pay tribute to Natalie for her entire career. Select films from her filmography were also going to be screened throughout the festival, closing with a special screening of “May December,” her latest film. Unfortunately, Natalie was unable to attend due to the actors’ strike, but director Todd Haynes took her place at the tribute today and presented the film to the audience. Vanity Fair France publishes this month an article with Natalie, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the magazine. The interview (in French) and the photos (taken by Elle Von Unwerth) were made in May of this year, and take a tour of her career and life since she was discovered for the cinema in “Leon”, until the premiere of “May December” in Cannes:
