Natalie attended the American Cinemateque Awards Gala yesterday, in which Amy Adams was honored for her entire career. Tom Hanks, Jake Gyllenhaal, Denis Villeneuve, Michael Shannon, Chris Messina and Kristen Stewart were other guests of the tribute.
Natalie never has worked with Adams, but is still waiting for “the perfect buddy comedy” to come along for them, she said in her speech on the stage. She also said that she “traveled with Amy on the campaign trail” meaning the awards season track. “During these interviews that get repetitive, Amy said something that it was difficult to be an actress because you have to have a thick skin because of all things people say about you, but you have to have a thin skin and be vulnerable when you’re working. She maintains that incredible vulnerability when I see her”.

It was just announced that Natalie has been selected as the 2018 Genesis Prize Laureate. The $1 million award, known as “the Jewish Nobel Prize,” is granted each year…
What better start to the week than with a few Tidbits…
-Natalie will be at the Dreamforce Conference this Wenesday to attend the Equality Summit: The Path to Equal Pay, in which she will talk about the pay gap in Hollywood and her own personal experience with pay disparity:
It's that day again. So I whipped up a little meme to pay respects to Guy Fawkes/V for Vendetta.
I was really excited about the prospect of Natalie working on a French film, particularly one directed by Rebecca Zlotowski whose Grand Central is fantastic. Unfortunately, this is one of my least favourite Natalie films. The story has a strong connection to the dead, but its the film that is D.O.A. It certainly looks handsome, and the performances (particularly Natalie and Emmanual Salinger) are solid at the very least.
