After a failed first attempt (due to connection issues) on Friday, Natalie was able to have an instagram conversation with Jessica Nowlan from the Young Women’s Freedom Center. Natalie made headlines a few days ago as one of the founders of a new Los Angeles-based women’s soccer team. Serena Williams was another of the celebrities who support this initiative. Although this year the Toronto festival will continue to have film screenings, most of the events will take place virtually. As part of this new experience, the TIFF will have 50 “festival ambassadors”, and Natalie will be one of them….

Last year we could see how Natalie and other fellow actresses strongly supported the women’s soccer team during the World Cup. Now a star-studded L.A. ownership group led by Natalie announcing Today it has secured the rights to bring an NWSL team to the market for the 2022 season. Others in that 30-member group include World Cup and Olympic champions Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy, Joy Fawcett, Rachel Buehler, Tisha Venturini-Hoch and Abby Wambach; actresses Eva Longoria, Uzo Aduba, Jennifer Garner and Jessica Chastain, venture capitalist Kara Nortman and Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian….
