You know the drill... - Chris Hemsworth talks about Natalie in this new interview. "The intimate stuff, you have to laugh at it," the newlywed Chris tells our own Samantha…
Salon have a new article that defends Natalie from the Black Swan and Your Highness body double scandals. They place the blame at the feet of the producers but, really, they get quite a lot wrong (once again).
But although these stories revolve around the use (or lack thereof) of Portman’s body, in both cases it is the studio that produced the film that is actually culpable for any misdirection (1). In the case of “Black Swan,” Fox Searchlight overplayed the star’s ballet expertise and lack of a body double, while Portman herself only spoke about the difficult training (2). For “Your Highness,” it was Universal that took advantage of a young, non-union performer in order to shoot a difficult scene that an experienced body double would never have done for such a small fee (3). Neither actress has spoken out against Portman herself (4).
It’s a depressing narrative that puts Portman’s body in the center of two scandals that have less to do with her and more to do with the cynicism and hype of Hollywood producers. Natalie Portman, Sarah Lane and Caroline Davis are equal victims of cinema’s obsession with creating the perfect female form. (5)

Today Online has a new interview with Natalie in promotion of Thor. In the interview she talks about her admiration of Branagh, how Hemsworth is the most perfect man to walk the earth, and how she is NOT doing The Avengers.
I’m not in The Avengers, but I’m signed up for the next two (Thor) sequels if they are made. I think these inter-related Marvel movies are great fun. The Avengers will be like Ocean’s Eleven with the superhero all-stars!
A few days ago I gave my reasons for why I thought the recent confirmation from Hemsworth that Natalie would be in the film, was wrong. I stick by them, but this Today Online piece doesn’t strike me as being that strong a piece of evidence. There are some really out of date facts in the piece and Natalie’s rehab quote came out months ago.
Rachel found a French poster for Thor and if I didn't know that girl on the poster was supposed to be Natalie, I never would have guessed it.
Thor is getting pretty good reviews (currently 89% on RT) and personally, I’m happily surprised that it’s being received so well. For today’s new poll I want to know if you’re surprised like me or if you saw it coming.
The vegan to veggie poll was as one sided as it gets, with only 6 people thinking she should have tried harder to remain vegan during her pregnancy. Full results after the jump.
