Great news today: May December has been chosen as this year’s opening night selection of the New York Film Festival. The screening on Sept. 29 at Alice Tully Hall will mark the North American premiere of the movie, which debuted back in May at Cannes, positioning it as an awards season play. Following its NYFF premiere, “May December” will be released theatrically on Nov. 17 before landing on Netflix on Dec. 1.
