Yesterday LightsCameraReaction asked me what the status was on In The Garden Of Beasts – the WW2 adaptation set to star Tom Hanks and the director of The Artist. Last we heard Natalie was mulling over a part playing the Nazi humping daughter of Hanks’ American ambassador to Germany.

Well I asked my source and, you might want to sit down for this, nothing has changed. Still interest all round and the wheels are in motion but it’s not a done deal yet.

Speaking of slowly moving projects, I also asked about Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It’s been so long since Natalie dropped out and every director in Hollywood jumping on and then off the project, that I thought there was a good chance it might now be abandoned.

Nope. The zombie project continues to stumble along with Natalie still on board as a producer. Not that anyone cares at this point, right?
