As for the Star Wars 7 poll, I expected a healthy spread of votes and for a lot of excitement for a new SW film. What I didn’t expect was so much love for George Lucas.
Personally, I think whatever skills as a storyteller and filmmaker he once had, they are now a long long time ago. He was the weight around the ankles of the new films and while I don’t know if the new one will be good or not, I think the chances of a positive outlook have increased 10 fold.
