Natalie has had bad luck with film titles. No Strings Attached was originally Fuck Buddies, then shifted to a more audience friendly Friends With Benefits, only to have to change again when the Mila Kunis film took the same title. You might also remember the name jumping of Love And Other Impossible Pursuits becoming The Other Woman.

Now we have a situation where it looks as though Terrence Malick is going to have to find a new title for Lawless. The reason being that John Hillcoat’s (The Road) new film, The Wettest Country, has now taken the title of Lawless.

Given both films will be high profile releases, even if they’re separated by a year, I just can’t see OUR Lawless becoming something else. Perhaps Fuck Buddies, that’s still free.
