A couple interesting tidbits today. One positive and one less so. Let’s start with the good stuff.

– Chris Hemsworth also seems quite high on Patty Jenkins for the Thor 2 gig, as this quote from Superhero Hype will attest.

“She has a great take on the story and a solid grasp on that kind of universe,” says Hemsworth, “…Branagh read every comic book he could get his hands on. She also looked like she had done her homework.”

– The negative story is that two interns, who worked on Black Swan, are suing the production company. It seems that Hollywood has a dodgy practice of abusing internships by making them do a lot of crummy tasks for free. Sure, that’s part and parcel of what we consider an internship is about, but they should also be learning a lot and, if they are correct, it doesn’t seem that they are gaining much from the experience.

Black Swan had such a low budget that it’s no surprise they had tons of interns running around to help.
