Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Paramount has nabbed the rights to Furious Love, the novel about Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton’s relationship. Martin Scorsese is looking to direct.

What has this got to do with Natalie? Well it sounds like she was also hoping to land the rights, along with the writer of The Kings Speech. Of course this begs the question of whether Natalie had an interest in playing Elizabeth Taylor, who was around Natalie’s age when she met Burton, and whether she might actively pursue the role even though it’s under Scorsese’s banner now.
