The Hot Blog has Hesher pulling in a bit over 30k on it’s 40 screens yesterday. That should be good for around 100k for the weekend, but is that strong enough for them to roll the film out further? We’ll have to wait and see, but I think most of us are going to have to catch up with the film on DVD.

And Portman, too, takes a turn for the subtle, playing a slightly frumpy and almost nondescript, middle-class checkout girl in a role that might convince or remind some of her Black Swan haters that she actually is a good actress.
