Last weekend was the biggest in box office history in the States. Avatar (welcome back, Jim), Sherlock Holmes and those Chipmunks helped push the weekend to $260 million. How much did Brothers contribute to that? $1.2 million, for a 14th place finish. It had its first really big drop in theatre count but it’s done well for itself and should make it to around $27-$28 million.

In the next couple months it will start to open in more foreign markets, including here in South Africa. I think I’m going to be able to catch an early screening of it here next week.
