It seems as though Natalie might have enjoyed some of the CMJ music marathon and film festival, which took part in Brooklyn this past week.
Funny, then, that the one party I went to happened to be the most star-studded (at least, by CMJ standards). Natalie Portman and Laura Mulleavy (of Rodarte) trekked all the way out Cobble Hill’s Frankie Spuntino for the Mexican Summer/Kemaod fete in the backyard. There was food, there was drink, there was Farmer Dave Scher and his sloth puppet.
This was from Thursday, a day which had two of my favourite 09 discoveries playing – Japandroids and The XX. I’m just going to assume she jumped around to “Young Hearts Spark Fire” and had naughty thoughts while listening to “Infinity”.
