V For Vendetta Rating

An old friend of the site, Titooy, sent me an email to let me know that 15 years ago today, Leon opened in Paris. It’s a monumental achievement as a film and especially to us Natalie fans, who might not be fans at all if that film hadn’t been made.

It’s then kind of funny that today of all days is when Leon gets knocked off its perch (by V) at the very top of your ratings of Natalie’s films. Okay, that’s not entirely true – the films have the exact same rating.

I must admit, I’m really surprised. I know it had a lot of supporters but I had no idea it was quite so beloved. Then again, its IMDB rating is also incredibly high.

Personally, as you know, I thought V was quite watered down and flat for large parts of the film. It’s decent but don’t think its anywhere near Leon. Or something like Children of Men.

But the people have spoken and the rating, along with the high IMDB rating and the middling critics rating, have been added to the filmography page.
