Roger Friedman has a new column up in which he bemoans the fact that there aren’t many great Best Actress roles so far and very few on the horizon either.
He puts together a short list of the potential contenders and Natalie gets a mention for Brothers (not even gonna think it till the reviews hit).
He somehow manages to forget Abbie Cornish and try and claim that his mention of Carey Mulligan (who is also in Brothers) being a contender (for An Education) is unique, with the comment “you heard it here first.” No, Roger, I’ve been hearing it everywhere since it screened at Sundance in January!
