Natalie’s directorial debut, Eve, played at the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival. The film was the headliner of the Jews In Shorts section, but didn’t go down to well with the writer at SFAppeal.
The headliner in the program was “Eve,” the directorial debut of Natalie Portman, starring Lauren Becall, Ben Gazzara, and Olivia Thirlby. While almost all the other shorts had a narrative arc, “Eve,” played more like a student film, attempting to evoke emotions in lieu of a real storyline.
Truth + Emotion > Story
Eve is still Natalie’s highest rated film at IMDB, although with less than 100 votes you can’t draw too many conclusions at this stage. Let’s hope that sucker gets some kind of a release soon. MakingOf would be the perfect place to premiere it, don’t you think?
