Fanatical made a really interesting find. Producer, Roberta Kenney, has a project called The Photographer (Der Fotograf) and she’s trying to get Natalie on board.
Then I managed to get Natalie Portman’s agent’s attention. She’s seen the one-sheet and knows what we want to offer Natalie for the lead. Said to come back when all the ducks are in a row, but sent the email herself rather than let her assistant reply. That was encouraging.
The brief summary is as follows:
“Nazi war photgrapher Roland Werner, a witness to the liquidation of Jewish populations in Polish villages, thinks he has escaped his crimes by transferring to Paris to document looted art, but his complicity haunts him.”
