Just a quick addition to Pasha’s earlier update as there are a couple very interesting pieces of news.

The first is that Natalie will not just be attending the Cannes Film Festival in May, she will actually be joining the likes of Sean Penn and Alfonso Cuaron as one of the jury members. This is a really great honour. You can read more about this years line up over here and a big thanks to Garcy for the find Romain for the find.

We also have a bit more news about Natalie’s NY, I Love You short. The following is from a personal blog so I’m not going to include the link but here is the text:

The good news keeps coming with word that Natalie has been named THE most eco-friendly star ahead of Leo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts.

And finally, Shelley has a little report about a Nat mention in the latest W Magazine.

May 2008 issue of W about Natalie’s resistance to being a product pusher for Starworks (who connects celebs with fashion clients for ad campaigns): Alana Varel, of Starworks, comments.

Still, Varel admits that most advertisers want that top tier of actresses, including the holy grail of casting, Natalie Portman. “She has turned down everything,” Varel says. “We tried to put deals together with her – and we are talking tens of millions of dollars – and it still has not worked.”

Wow, again, thats great to here. What a brilliant day of news.
