So, from the talk back, I think most people realize by now that the 4 Mathilda pages were an April Fools joke. Even if they didn’t notice that Matt was the artist and that the pages were in colour (the artist of the real Mathilda is Christophe and the pages will only be inked).

Obviously, the tell tale sign was meant to be that it was just incredibly bad. Whereas with the real Mathilda I’m trying to stay very far from the film, this was directly stealing ideas from it…and then raping them.

Having said that, it was a ton of fun to write and I think it turned out wonderfully. Matt did a fantastic job. I’m not really surprised that so many people thought it was real AND loved it. The real Mathilda might actually be a bit of a let down for those people, but if you liked this ultra cheesy version, maybe Matt and I could extend it a bit.

We’ll see.

As for the real Mathilda, its coming along very nicely. The first 4 pages are finished but I’ll only put them up with the rest of the first chapter, which is 11 pages long. It should be ready in a month or two.
