Nat to direct?

Hola

Before we begin I want to remind everyone that Feb 14 is Valentine’s day. More importantly, it is NP.com’s 7th birthday…and by that I mean the 7 years since I arrived and made your lives bliss. Before Sanji and I (with a little help from our friends) took over the site, NP.com had been online for 2 years.

Boy, time flies when you have no life.

Anyway, the point I want to make is that in celebration of those two occasions we’ll have a few surprises and I’m threatening encouraging you to play your part by sending in fanart/songs/whatever related to Valentines or our birthday.

Moving onto some actual news, Jason and Thierry both sent in links about a possible new project for Natalie. It would be an adaptation of the novel, A Tale of Love and Darkness. What’s interesting is the added detail in the second report.

Hollywood actress Natalie Portman reportedly is interested in starring in a film version of Amos Oz?s autobiography.

Portman visited Israel over the weekend to meet with the celebrated author about his book ?A Tale of Love and Darkness.?

According to the reports, Portman is in talks to play Oz?s mother, who committed suicide when the writer was 12.

A spokesman for Jerusalem Capital Studios, which is linked to the prospective production, confirmed that Portman and Oz had met, but said a film deal has not yet been clinched.

Directing? Wow, if that is true then my interest level could not be higher. Here is the Source.

And as I was typing this up I just received a 3rd link from Marina. This time it is from Yahoo and they are also going with the directing angle.

It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.
