Just a got a few more interesting tidbits that I thought I’d put up while I have some time.

It’s 45 years old, already been worn and so tiny most women couldn’t even squeeze into it.

No matter. A very famous very little black dress is expected to sell for big bucks when it is sold later this year.

The iconic Givenchy cocktail frock worn by Audrey Hepburn in the opening sequence of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” will hit the auction block at Christie’s in London on Dec. 5.

Proceeds from the sale benefit City of Joy, a charity for underprivileged people in India, a cause close to Hepburn’s heart.

Starting Friday, the dress, expected to fetch $90,000 to $130,000, will be on display for a week at Christie’s in New York.

It will also be on view in the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar, out Oct. 20, in which actress Natalie Portman models the size 2 sheath in photos snapped by Peter Lindbergh.

“I did feel very elegant suddenly,” the actress told Bazaar. “I mean, you can’t possibly measure up to Audrey Hepburn.”

A National Trust volunteer on duty during the filming had a more intimate encounter with one of the actresses on the day.

He said: “I was in the restroom which is next to the toilet and Natalie Portman came in with a minder wearing her voluminous, corseted, costume.

“She disappeared inside and when she came out I said I bet that was difficult’ and she threw back her head and laughed out loud.

“I saw the other one too and found them to be very pleasant and very nice. In my experience, that tends to be the case, the more serious the actor.

Heh, cute…and gross. Sorta like the boob sweat story.

Thanks to Marina for that article and for this final item of the day. According to the article, Natalie wears a ring that symbolizes that she is single and looking. Maybe someone can find pics of her wearing the ring but it seems strange to me. Why, even if she was single, would she want or need to announce that fact to people?
