Heya

I almost didn’t want to make a new update because the talkback for monday’s update has been very interesting. But life must go on.

Lets start with the little movie that is gonna knock Nat fans on their asses – Paris Je T’aime…or at least, the short story which involves Natalie.

Meredith found an article about how the film was put together and the problems they had along the way. Nat is only mentioned in passing but its an interesting read.

There is also a nice little article by Jeff Wells where he praises the film and says that Natalie’s story is his second favourite.

And rounding out the Paris news is an email from Martin that reminded me how I keep forgetting to mention that Paris Je T’aime will be playing at the Toronto International Film Festival. Better late than never.

Speaking of forgotten news, this V interview from the Metro was in one of my updates that got lost and it totally slipped my mind till this morning when I saw something about the Metro paper on Sky News. These questions seemed original to me (or maybe my memory is just crappy). Thanks to L’Epicurien.

James Purefoy was originally cast in the role of V but he was replaced by Hugo Weaving a few weeks into filming. How much do you see of James in the film?
It?s annoying to go into specifics about it because I?d rather people watched the movie and enjoyed it without wondering which one they?re seeing. But there are a lot of scenes when it?s neither of them – it?s stuntmen.

But there is some stuff in the film that is James Purefoy?
Oh yeah, there is some stuff that is James but it?s all voiced by Hugo.

What happens when someone gets removed from a film?
It?s really difficult. You have your allegiances as an actor but then you have to continue doing your job. It feels funny. The director and the producers of this film are really great, creative people and it was not a great experience going through that for anybody.

Did you get a chance to say goodbye to James?
Only on the phone.

Did you ever try on the Guy Fawkes mask that V wears?
No. Those poor guys with the mask on must have been so uncomfortable. It was so sweaty, which didn?t make it very tempting to try on.

Jenski found a list of the actors whose films have grossed the most. Natalie’s colletive films puts her in at 83rd on the list. How depressing is it to see Rob Schneider in 80th place.

And here is a little article about actresses who went to university. Thanks to Melmatming10123.

I think thats it for now. We’ll have a new poll tomorrow and if I get time, that new editorial as well.
