The NY Times has info regarding Nat busting out some tunes. Click here for the source (need to register).
Here are the important bits…
The Public Theater is singing, dancing and raising money for its 50th anniversary celebration. On Jan. 30 at City Center, the theater will feature an evening of artists performing selections from signature Public Theater musicals. Imagine songs from “Hair;” “A Chorus Line;” “Bring In da Noise, Bring In da Funk;” “The Wild Party;” “Caroline, or Change;” “Ghetto Superstar (The Man That I Am),” among others. They’re calling it “The Public Sings,” and the lineup of stars scheduled to appear includes Savion Glover, Eartha Kitt, Tonya Pinkins, Rosie Perez, Natalie Portman, Billy Porter, Meryl Streep and Zack Braff.
Tickets will go on sale Friday. Regular tickets will range in price from $20 to $750. Tickets that include premium seating and pre- and post-performance events will go on sale for $1,000 to $5,000. All proceeds benefit the theater.
And the NY Post has an article about celebrity tippers, which has a nice Nat mention.
Natalie Portman also got a positive review, after allegedly giving a $45 tip for a $150 bill. She signed autographs, too.
Personally, I think waiters should tip Natalie for being able to serve her.
