This is one of the best news items ever. Damien Rice’s Blower’s Daughter video. Not only is it a great song and a great video but features Natalie pole dancing…in a thong. It doesn’t get much better than that. Thanks to Amidoll and Sommerfly.

Stacey also found a new review from the Hollywood Reporter. It’s got minor spoilers and the overall feeling is mixed but once again Natalie comes out on top.

Perhaps because she is the one person for whom deception is not a turn-on, Portman’s Alice is like a breath of fresh air. There is a subtle sweetness to her character even when she is performing crass stripper routines. And her pout when she is hurt contains such tender yearning.

In Dave Polands latest Oscar column he has this to say about Natalie:

Natalie Portman coming of age – and I don’t mean that in a pervy way, but in regards to her finally breaking loose of all constraint as an actress

He also has Natalie leading the race in his weekly charts. His comment? “She is transcendent”. He also has her as an outside shot for Best Actress for Garden State at the Golden Globes.

And finally, Oscarwatch has Premiere magazines latest predictions. Closer doesn’t fair to well but Natalie makes the cut.
