Closer poster

Hiya

I know I said that the last batch of From the Inbox was to be the last, but I got sent a few more and decided it would be a shame not to add them, especially since some were from republicans. So check them out over here.

But seriously, the inbox is now CLOSED for that editorial.

Amidoll has the first good look at the Closer poster. Hmmm…it’s very clean and does get the point across quite well but that doesn’t stop it from being rather boring.

What do you guys think?

Here are the results of the Mart poll:

At the London Film Fest, Mart found himself within touching distance of Natalie but he didn’t mention np.com. Why do you think that is?

He wasn’t able to think straight with her so close. 45.91% (219 votes)

He didn’t want her to order the security guards to beat his ass. 26.42% (126 votes)

He’s ashamed of his job. 17.19% (82 votes)

He was too busy taking photographs. 9.64% (46 votes)

Mart promises that next time (Closer?) he’ll have grown a pair.

There was another Closer blurb on Jeff Well’s site.

“Closer is, I suppose, a Carnal Knowledge for 2004,” cinematographer Stephen Goldblatt has told San Francisco Chronicle columnist Hugh Hart. “It’s obsessed with sexual politics. It’s a quite upsetting, very adult drama, and [director] Mike Nichols is fanatic about reality.” Glamour was not a concern. “When it worked dramatically, I wanted Julia Roberts not to look good,” he informs. “She was game. For one scene with Clive Owen that was very emotionally raw, she didn’t wash her hair, she wore no makeup at all. It was very much about the drama involved, so everything worked from the rehearsals and from the play.”

That’s all for now.
