The big news of the day is this gallery with new pics of Natalie out and about in London, where she’s to film Closer. Thanks to Titooy and Melody once again.
With Garden State just around the corner, a number of film sites have mentioned it in Sundance coverage.

GARDEN STATE – directed by Zach Braff… who? Well Zach isn’t particularly well known yet. He played Woody Allen’s son in MANHATTAN MURDER MYSTERY, but he did land the voice of CHICKEN LITTLE in the Disney CG film… which means he’s most likely very funny. This is his directoral debut and he stars alongside Natalie Portman in addition. It’s produced by Danny DeVito and I’m betting that this is a romantic comedy that works. Ian Holm plays his father and well… time will tell.
A critic friend has seen Zack Braff’s heavily-hyped GARDEN STATE along with the Ashton Kutcher thriller THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT, and has called them both “distinctly underwhelming.” He said he’s been left with the sense that festival-wise “we’re in for quite a slog on the U.S. indie front.”
