Author Jeff Vandermeer, writer of Annihilation, the novel on which Alex Garland’s 2018 film starring Natalie Portman was based, announced yesterday on his facebook page that she, along with Sophie Mas, is developing a film adaptation of his short story Constellations, through their production company, MountainA. He mentions in his post that he is “psyched at the prospect of her starring in it”.

Natalie awarded the French Legion of Honor

We have some completely unexpected news today. It has been announced that Natalie is among the 619 recipients of this year’s French Legion of Honor. Rebecca Zlotowski, a director and close friend of hers, is also on the list. This year’s promotion was signed yesterday by President Emmanuel Macron and published in the “Journal Officiel”.

Tidbits

There hasn’t been much relevant news in the last month. Natalie has been keeping a low profile these past few weeks, awaiting the birth of her third child. We know she spent a few days on vacation with her partner, Tanguy Destable, in Positano, Italy, a couple of weeks ago, and that she has remained relatively active on Instagram. While we wait for the arrival of the baby, which should happen this July or August at the latest, here are a few tidbits:
